About Alpine County Health and Human Services

Wednesday, 1pm - 4:30pm

There are several service areas within the department:

Public Health Services deals with the health and well being of the citizens of Alpine County. Their services include Health Care in a clinic with a licensed physician, Prevention of communicable diseases, Tobacco Education, Immunizations, Well Child Examinations, HIV and Sexually Transmitted Diseases, and much more. Environmental Health Services deals with the health and well being of our environment. Their services include water monitoring, food and restaurant permits, well permits, swimming pool construction, and much more. For more information, please check the Environmental Health Services page.

Behavioral Health Services deals with the emotional well being of the population of Alpine County. For more information on the services provided, click on the link to the left.

Social Services deals with programs for certain populations in need or at risk in Alpine county, including such areas as Welfare Assistance, Foster Home Support, Child Protective Services, Adult Protective Services(APS & CPS are on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.) The Homeland Security Preparation and Services section deals with the issues of terrorism and homeland security as it relates to the citizens of our county. Alpine County's Medical Clinic is open on Monday and Wednesday from 8:00AM - 4:30 PM by appointment only.
Patients of all ages are welcome and no one is refused care due to the lack of medical insurance coverage.
Fees are based on the ability to pay. Payment arrangements can be discussed.
Due to the size of our facility, not all services are available and may need to be referred.
